DIN CERTCO - Compstable Certification
English Version
‧ The Certification Label for Compostable Plastics/Material - DIN CERTCO
‧ Products printed with the label must pass EN 13432 or EN 14995 laboratory test.
Such as：Material (Raw Material or Polymer), Semi-finished Products, Finished Products.
‧ The label effectiveness mainly region in the EU, besides, also recognised by some
countries out of the EU region.
Ex：Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, UK, French... etc.
‧ The label is verified by an independent third-party unit ─ TÜV Rheinland,
to ensure that products meet international standards.
‧ Manufacturers can print the DIN CERTCO label and serial number on the product
to help consumers identify, when purchasing and processing.
Biodegradable/Compostable Products (Raw Material, Polymer, Semi-finished Products, Finished Products)
‧ The biodegradable/compostable label - DIN CERTCO, is the certification system jointly developed by the European Bioplastics Association and DIN CERTCO Group.
‧ DIN CERTCO is the certification system established by TÜV Rheinland Group and Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN).
‧ Biodegradable plastic/material products will be tested by TÜV Rheinland, to identify if they can achieve the standards of disintegration, biodegradability,
compostability, eco-toxicity, and no heavy metals before issuing this certification mark.
‧ Compostable Certification - DIN CERTCO showing the eco-friendly physical properties of products and materials, disintegration and biodegradability under eco-conditions.
‧ Tests are conducted with a series of international standards, such as ASTM D6400 and ASTM D5338 by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM),
ISO 17088 and ISO 16929 established by the International Organization Standardization (ISO), or EN 13432 and EN 14995 by the European Committee for Standardization (EU).
. Products using Compostable DIN CERTCO are approved for compost in composting sites, according to the results of international and EU uniform standards.
